Tianjin university scholarship for bachelor students in chemical engineering (TJUSCE) 2021

Tianjin University Scholarship in Chemical Engineering is set by School of Chemical Engineering and Technology to support prospective international students in the bachelor program of Chemical Engineering. It is a four-year duration scholarship, however the scholarship winners need to participate in annual review, and only those passing the annual review are eligible for next-year scholarship support. 

I. When and Where to Apply 

Applicants should complete an Online Application and upload all documents required to our Online Application System（tju.at0086.cn/student according to the following schedule.

III. Eligibility  

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. Applicants of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have immigrated to other countries should meet the conditions set by the Document No.83of Ministry of Education of the PRC〔2009〕. 

2. Applicants should hold high school diploma and be under the age of 30. Applicants who are still under the age of 18 as of September 1, 2020 must submit the original guardian certificate issued by the Tianjin District Notary Office, and the Guardian must be a permanent resident of Tianjin. 

3. Language Proficiency Requirements 

TOEFL: no less than 80, IELTS: no less than 6.0. Native English speakers are exempted. 

4. Applicants should have good conduct, good physical and mental health, and be willing to abide by the laws and regulations of China and Tianjin University. 

IV. Application Materials  

1. Senior high school diploma or original notarized diploma. (Pre-graduation certificate is required if the applicants have not gained the diploma. Please resubmit the notarized copy before registration). 

2. Transcript for all the courses in senior high school (original or notarized copy) or other international standardization test results (such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB etc). 

3. Photocopy of passport. 

4. English proficiency certificate. 

5. Applicants who are not in China at present must submit scan of Certificate of Non-Criminal Records or Performance Certificate. 

6. Applicants who are now in China must submit scan of Photocopy of Visa and Study Certificate from present school. 

7. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form  (The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Please select the appropriate time to have medical examination as the medical results have a 6-month validity). 

8. Applicants used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries who have meet the conditions set by the Document No.83of Ministry of Education of the PRC〔2009〕 should submit citizenship certificate and 4-year visa record.  

Application Remarks

1. Applicants are required to submit scanned images of all required documents at the time of application. All uploaded documents should be in Chinese or in English; otherwise notarial translations in Chinese or English are required. Once translated, the original documents and certified translations are to be submitted together to the application system. 

2. Please scan the original or notarized application documents in color using a scanner. Images captured by mobile phone or camera are not acceptable. Copies are also not acceptable. 

3. TJU has the right to request the applicants to provide the original or notarized hard copies of application documents for further qualification checks. Applicants shall guarantee all the information and documents provided are authentic and accurate, otherwise they will be disqualified from admission. 

V. Admission Procedures 

1. Application: 

Mar 15, 2020- Jun 15, 2020； 

2. TJU Review: Jun 15, 2020- Jul 15, 2020; 

3. Result Release: Applicants shall track the admission process through the Online Application System. Tianjin University will announce the admission result officially through the system, and post Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) to scholarship winners from Jul 15 to Aug 15; 

4. Registration: from the end of August to the early September, 2020.
