Kunming Medical University Yunnan Government Scholarship

Yunnan  Provincial  Government  has  set  up  a  scholarship  program  for  students  from  neighboring  countries. The categories  of Applicants Scholarship are Doctoral  Degree (3  years),  Master’s Degree (2-3  years), Bachelor’s Degree (4-5  years), Non-Degree

Education (1-2 years) with Chinese Language Study Program, Professional Advanced Study Program and Research Scholar Program. Students from Southeast Asian and South Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Fiji, and Brunei Darussalam are eligible to apply Yunnan Government Scholarship in KMU.

VALUES OF SCHOLARSHIP   

Registration fee, tuition fee, on-campus accommodation fee, living allowance.

Living allowance standards:

•  Undergraduate students or Students for Chinese study: RMB1,400/Month. 

•  Master Degree Candidates or students for medical education: RMB1,700/Month. 

•  Doctoral Candidates or research scholars: RMB2,000/month.

Free medical service as the other Chinese Students.

CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.

Education background and age limit:

•  Applicants for bachelor’s degree studies must have high school graduation certificate and good academic performance and be under the age of 25.

•  Applicants for master’s degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.

•  Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

•  Applicants for Chinese Language Study Program must have no Chinese language foundation, be under the age of 35 and hold a high school graduation certificate.

•  Applicants for Professional Advanced Study Program must be a sophomore or above in an institution of higher learning or have Bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 45.

•  Applicants for Research Scholars must have Master’s degree or above and be under the age of 50.

The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely:

The original script and one copy of Application Form for Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship for Students from Neighboring Countries, filled in Chinese or English.

The  notarized  highest  education certificate  and  academic  transcripts.  University  students  or  applicants  employed shall  also  provide  proof  of  studying  or  employment  with  their  application.  Documents  in  languages  other  than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.



Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form could be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn).

Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy) which must be notarized and translations in Chinese or English.

Study or research plan: in Chinese or in English, no less than 300 words.

One copy of HSK Transcript.

Applicants for master’s degree or doctoral degree or Research Scholar Program should have two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors and admission notice.

Research scholars should submit the contents of their major works or papers published.
