Northeast Normal University Chinese Government Scholarship

I. Scholarship introduction

In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities. China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China(hereinafter referred to as MOE), is responsible for the enrollment and the administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs. Now, 279 designated Chinese universities offer a wide variety of academic programs in Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Economics, Legal Studies, Management, Education, History, Literature, Philosophy, and Fine Arts for scholarship recipients at all levels.

III. Scholarship Coverage(full scholarship)

●Exempt from Application, tuition and campus accommodation fees;

●Living allowance (PhD. 3,500 RMB/Month, Master 3,000 RMB/Month, Undergraduates 2500 RMB/Month)

●Comprehensive Medical Insurance Care for CSC student

V. Application Eligibility

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.

2. The requirements for applicants’ degree and age are that applicants must:

●be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for the undergraduate programs;

●be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the master’s programs;

●be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs;

●be under the age of 45 and have a high school diploma (or higher) when applying for the general scholar programs;

●be a master’s degree holder or an associate professor (or above) under the age of 50 when applying for the senior scholar programs.

VI. Application procedure

●Bilateral Program

1. Contact Dispatching Authority in students’ home country and get the application information.

2. If you need the Preliminary Admission Notice, you can connect with International Students Office of NENU.

3. Finish on-line application (browse www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or www.campuschina.org), and click the icon “Application Online for International Students” to enter the system.), input your application information and print Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship on-line.

The Agency number for Northeast Normal University is 10200.

4. Sent Application documents to Dispatching Authority in students’ home country.

1. Check the latest notice released on Study at NENU website (http://iso.nenu.edu.cn)

2. Finish on-line application (browse www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or www.campuschina.org), and click the icon “Application Online for International Students” to enter the system.), input your application information and print Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship on-line. For other information, please refer to the NENU notice.

3. Prepare other documents as required.

4. Sent all documents to NENU on time.

VII.  Application Documents

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (filled in Chinese or English and generated by on-line application automatically).

2. Copy of passport photo page;

3. Notarized certification of highest diploma. If you are either students or have been employed, you must submit appropriate letters of verification. If the verification is written in a language other than Chinese or English, it must be translated into either English or Chinese and sealed with official notarization;

4. Copy of diploma and notarized English translation;

5. Notarized academic transcripts and the English translation;

6. Study plan in China (800 words or more) written in Chinese or English;

7. Two recommendation letters from either professors;

8. Copy of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and Blood Test Report (HIV, Tuberculosis, Syphilis, HBcAb, etc.) and remember to bring the original when you come to China. (Download from http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua/upload/file/2012-02-21/201202215236.pdf)

Note:

●Application documents sent by fax will not be accepted.

●All of the documents (especially the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship) should be filled online and printed.

●Application documents will not be returned no matter whether you are accepted or not.

●Admission result will be put on the official website of Study at NENU (http://iso.nenu.edu.cn) before the end of July.

●We will contact the applicants via emails during the enrollment.
