Tianjin University of Science and Technology Scholarship

In order to promote the development of higher education of International students in Tianjin University of Science and Technology (TUST), to further improve the talent cultivation, scientific research, social service, and cultural exchange, our university has set up the TUST Scholarship for International students.



1.CATEGORIES OF APPLICANTS: Recipients are International Students in TUST and students who wish to study in TUST. Recipients are the undergraduate or the higher level foreign students who are applying to study in TUST and the excellent international students who are studying in TUST.

2.DURATION OF TUST SCHOLARSHIP: TUST Scholarship supports undergraduate, master and doctoral students only for one academic year. This Scholarships need to be applied annually. Those who have good academic achievements and good performance in university are eligible to apply for the next year scholarship application at enrollment time.

3.CATEGORIES OF TUST SCHOLARSHIP: TUST Scholarship provides two categories: full scholarship program and half scholarship program.

4.COVERAGE AND STANDARD :Full scholarship covers tuition and registration fee waiver , accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance and half scholarship only covers tuition and registration fee waiver.

5. APPLICATION TIME: From May to June in every year.

6. CRITERIA and ELIGIBILITY:

a. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health and offer non-criminal record or certificate.
b. Applicants for undergraduate program must have senior high school diploma with good academic performance and be under the age of 25.
c. Applicants for master’s degree programs must have a bachelor degree and be under the age of 35 with two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors.
d. Applicants for doctoral degree programs must have a master degree and be under the age of 40 with two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors.
e. Applicants should meet the language requirements of the higher education institutions and provide relevant proofs, such as HSK certificate, other Chinese learning and examination certificates, etc. The restriction can be relaxed for the foreign students whose majors are taught in English.
f. Applicants should not apply for other scholarship in the same time.
g. Application Conditions For Internal Students
1) Applicant must be foreign self-funded undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD student who has normally enrolled in TUST. Applicants who have applied for leave of absence, retaining student status or extension of schooling last year will not be allowed.
2) Applicants must perform well in school without truancy, other violations of school regulations in school or other violations of Chinese laws and regulations off school.
3) Applicants must have the right learning attitude and study hard. Applicants’ academic record should be excellent in the previous year.
4) Applicants have not obtained any other scholarships in the same year.

h. Interview assessment: for new applicants and internal student applicants, you will further to attend an interview organized by different schools, after you submit your paper documents. Both your paper documents and interview assessment will be passed and approved, you will be accepted in final admission results.

b. Applicants for PhD. and Master Degree should contact a tutor (supervisor) under the related school in advance and receive the acceptance letter from that tutor (supervisor) with agreement signature and the Dean’s admission signature and that school’s official seal.
